Team Switchboard is made up of an incredible group of individuals who get it done. We’re really excited for you to meet our great team. This month, we’re featuring Karli, our project coordinator extraordinaire. When she’s not killing it for our clients, she can be found supporting the rest of the team or grabbing a well-deserved cup of coffee!

Tell us a little about yourself…

I recently graduated from The University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance. I am passionate about numbers, learning, and being challenged. I look for mentorship and leadership in people that inspire me, like Kathleen Reid for example, Founder and Managing Director of Switchboard Public Relations.

My favourite place in the world is our family cottage on Georgian Bay, Ontario. I love my two fur babies, Milo and Xena. I am an avid skier and used to ski competitively. I am happiest outdoors, especially when the sun is shining. I am passionate about spreading kindness and making others around me feel loved and appreciated.

What do you love about working at Switchboard?

I am constantly learning, growing, and being challenged.

What motivates you?

Making a difference, impacting the lives of others, and making my family proud.

What books are you reading right now and do you have a book that has had a lasting impact?

I am currently reading Educated, a memoir by Tara Westover. My all-time favourite book is The Defining Decade, by Meg Jay.

Tell us three interesting facts about you…

I am the oldest of three children. I was born on April 7th at 7:07 a.m., and I weighed 7 lbs and 7 ounces. I studied Mandarin for ten years of my life.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Pizza… because it’s pizza.. (I know I should say a salad but let’s be real)

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

Spend time with my family and friends at our cottage in Ontario.

Besides the necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

Caffeine in every and any form.

What is your spirit animal?

Probably, Ellen Degeneres.
