Switchboard is searching for a focussed, results-driven and organized team member with experience in PR. We need someone who is highly proficient in managing all aspects of large projects including coordinating team members, managing project budget and scope, managing communications with current and potential clients and confidently leading multiple small teams to successful project completion.
Minimum of five years experience in public relations and project management
Previous experience working within an agency
Strong writing and editing skills
Track record of successful client and vendor relationships
Natural people person with a knack for connecting with others
Passionate about technology, impact, and development
Helpful but not required
Knowledge of North America’s media landscape
Manage client interactions and day-to-day aspects of multiple large-scale projects
Oversee, coordinate, and lead internal team to successful project completion
Manage the development of project teams by ensuring that project tasks are in line with each team member’s career interests, talents and skills.
Set expectations for team members, ensure expectations are met and lend expertise to team members
Control multiple project scopes simultaneously
Ensure project tasks are consistent with client needs and goals
Anticipate client needs and propose relevant business solutions
Continually seek and capitalise upon opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Provide accurate and timely delivery of invoices and ensure payment collection with the support of the Office Manager
Utilize internal talent in a way that seeks to maximise project profitability
Accurately forecast and manage revenue, profitability, margins, and billing rates across multiple projects
Identify potential projects and capitalize on new sales opportunities through pitching
Diagnose opportunities for change and propose actionable plans for implementing internal improvements
Understand and articulate Switchboard’s service offerings, technical preferences, and brand direction to potential clients
Participate in all programs relating to performance evaluations and career development planning
Assess training needs and select training tools for team members
Serve as key participant in team and client meetings
Tactfully communicate sensitive information both externally and internally
Effectively communicate relevant project information to peers and clients
Confidently confront issues openly and quickly
Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion and respect for individuals
