Switchboard is searching for a well-rounded, organized, coachable, and detailed team member with experience in communications or marketing. We’re looking for someone who is proficient in coordinating projects as well as developing materials to support project success. Project coordination tasks include assigning and overseeing project tasks, managing project budget and scope, communicating with current and potential clients and leading small project teams.

BA in business, liberal arts or social sciences
1-3 years of work experience in communications or marketing
Track record of successful client and vendor relationships
Ability to develop basic materials in Adobe Creative Suite (laying out documents and creating basic marketing materials – email headers, social graphics, etc.)
Natural people person with a knack for connecting with others
Passionate about technology, impact, and development
Helpful but not required
Knowledge of North America’s media landscape
Previous experience working within an agency
Experience with CRM and project management tools (HubSpot and Asana)
Manage client interactions and day-to-day aspects of multiple projects
Oversee, coordinate, and lead internal team to successful project completion
Manage the development of project teams by ensuring that project tasks are in line with team member’s skillsets
Find creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
Ensure project tasks are consistent with client needs and project goals
Anticipate client needs and propose relevant solutions
Continually seek and capitalize on opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Experience developing and editing materials on a wide variety of platforms (ie. Microsoft Office, Google Docs Suite, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp)
Ability to analyze, synthesize and report performance metrics (Google Analytics, social media analytics tools, Google Alerts, etc.)
Experience developing marketing content (examples include: e-newsletters, social media content, press releases and coverage reports)
Effectively communicate relevant project information to peers and clients
Tactfully communicate sensitive information both externally and internally
Confidently confront issues openly and quickly
Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion and respect for individuals
